In this position, you will perform maintenance tasks like changing or installing window treatments, replacing lights or light fixtures, monitoring HVAC systems and cleaning air filters and vents, ensuring the operations of emergency lighting and exit signs, and performing plumbing maintenance and repairs. You will perform daily building walkthroughs, assessing items that require mechanical, electrical, or painting improvements, and completing requests through the university’s work order system. You may be on-call to handle emergency situations when they are needed.

The ideal candidate has two to five years of related experience or training and must be able to pass a DOT medical exam.

Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to five years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Must be able to pass DOT medical exam. 

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
