As a maintenance tech, you will perform various maintenance functions such as changing or installing window treatments, light fixtures, and air filters. You will monitor HVAC systems, ensure emergency lighting and exit signs are operable, and perform daily building walkthroughs to help assess items that require mechanical, electrical, or painting improvements. You will also perform major and minor building repairs (e.g., roof and plumbing repairs, sign and bulletin board repairs, etc.), handle on-call emergencies as they arise, and follow all OSHA and SCAD regulations and safe practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two to five years of professional experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Ability to pass a DOT medical exam

Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
