As a photography producer, guided by the photography director, creative director, and executive director of visual media, you will oversee projects from concept to completion while working meticulously with various stakeholders (e.g., directors, managers, stylists, faculty and staff, students, guests, other photographers, and more). You will be a highly visible cornerstone of the visual media photography team, directly contributing to the department's success and the university's largest marketing campaigns. You will make production and creative decisions, strengthen SCAD signature events' reputations, increase SCAD outreach on a national level, and help drive attendance and awareness of the university's unique opportunities. Photography producers have ownership of pre-production and production logistical details, and as a producer, you will also manage multiple teams simultaneously.

In this role, you may interface with the SCAD Presidential Office, Board of Trustees, and other high-profile university stakeholders. You will obtain all needed legal materials and payments from shoots and vendors, draft and gain approval for shoot budgets, and collaborate with the visual media video team on relevant shoots. Among other duties, you will work with the creative director to establish and implement engaging visual aesthetics and brand identity across all SCAD institutional photography; prepare call sheets; research, scout, and assess ideas for requested photos; and serve as on-site producer for assigned live events.

The successful candidate is highly creative with an eye for compelling visuals. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and enthusiasm are essential, as the position involves working with high-profile artists, shy students, and busy faculty and staff on a regular basis. The candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving, time management, and project management abilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications and media studies, photography, film, television, information technology, multimedia, broadcasting, or relevant discipline
  • Professional experience in closely related fields
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as well as work holiday and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience in photography styling, public relations, marketing, creative and technical team management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Capture One, and Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Bridge

Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
