SCAD Atlanta seeks an experienced full-time professor of interactive experience and game development to use their advanced knowledge of emerging interfaces, creative technologies and design frameworks to instruct and inspire remarkable students as they reach toward their professional goals.

As an interactive design and game development faculty member, you will work with a team of esteemed professionals and academic colleagues in administering program curriculum and fostering a positive community for the next generation of game artists.

The successful candidate has experience in creating interactive media for professional clients and/or shipping video games across PC, console, and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate will have mastery of industry-standard software including Adobe Creative Suite, Substance Designer/Painter, Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Unreal Engine, and Unity. Industry expertise combined with university teaching experience is highly valued. Knowledge of game art direction, development pipelines, and programming languages such as C++, C#, Python, and Java will strengthen applications. The role particularly benefits from familiarity with current AI toolset integrations and technical art expertise, including proficiency in level design pipelines, event scripting, particle effects, animation, and shader development. Additionally, we value candidates with professional experience in visual art and design production, as well as a background in teaching and developing online coursework.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Terminal degree in (or equivalent) in game design, computer art or a related field.
• Academic and professional credentials to teach in varying disciplines of interactive
  design or game design and development. .
• Teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
• Experience in or knowledge of related professions.
