SCAD seeks a full-time professor of illustration to join its faculty in Atlanta and become part of a program ranked No. 1 in the U.S. by Universities.com.

Ideal candidates will have extensive industry experience, illustration knowledge that would add dimension to the department, and the desire to encourage students to experiment and generate work in a range of styles and media. Requirements:
- Terminal degree or its equivalent in illustration or a related field
- Extensive experience producing illustrations in both traditional and digital media
- At least three years of commercial illustration and college-level teaching experience preferred
- Strong composition, color and drawing skills, a unique style, aesthetic and viewpoint
- Published credentials, accolades and industry recognition
- Demonstrates strong expertise in digital tools, including raster, vector, motion media and
familiarity with 3D.
- Knowledge of the history of illustration

- Terminal degree in related discipline.
- Teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
- Experience or knowledge of related industries.
- Ability to be credentialed through SACS guidelines or justified to teach.
