In this position, you will use your design and costume skills to lead production design and themed entertainment design classes. As an integral member of our faculty, you will teach a dynamic curriculum and assist in the development of future curriculum enhancements and production opportunities. You will support SCAD film and television productions. Alongside other production design professors, you will help curate a display for Crites Hall with remarkable 3D models, posters, and sketches.

The ideal candidate is an experienced theater, film, or themed entertainment designer with demonstrated proficiency with draping and tailoring for both men and women. The candidate should also have experience with dyeing, fabric paint, makeup, and hair. Photoshop, hand and machine sewing, and pattern making by hand and computer are vital skills for this role.

The successful candidate is a charismatic leader with significant production design and credit listings on recognizable movies and television shows. This person is energetic and capable of mobilizing faculty and students to produce stellar production design, from first sketch to 3D model.

Requirements:

- Terminal degree or its equivalent in production design or related field
- Three or more years of experience in higher education
- Strong portfolio of related professional work

Minimum Qualifications:

- Terminal degree in related discipline.
- Teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
- Experience or knowledge of related industries.
- Ability to be credentialed through SACS guidelines or justified to teach.

Work Hours: As noted in the Employment Agreement.
