12 Month Salaried Staff FT

As a full-time residence life operations manager, you will support the associate director of housing in all aspects of the housing assignment process for students at all SCAD Savannah residence halls, including the hiring and training of staff and creation of assignments/assignment letters for summer programs; all-day SCAD Day, enrollment programs, and conferences; and room changes and cancellation requests. You will respond to all in-person, phone, and email inquiries from students, parents, faculty, and staff; assess and recommend changes for housing and residence life operations and processes; and manage storage/access for all student files in the department. 

Among other duties, you will also provide guidance to the residence director and paraprofessional staff and develop close working relationships with university departments that offer support services for residents (e.g., student success and advising, admission, counseling and student support services, university safety, etc.). 

The successful candidate has exceptional time management and organizational skills. With a knack for stellar customer service and communication, the candidate can also thrive in a fast-paced environment. Professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills are also essential as this position interacts with clients daily. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Banner, and Adirondack software 

  • Prior experience in a university residential or other group living environment 

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
