As a senior director of alumni engagement, you will cultivate a collaborative and results-oriented work environment, oversee a team of professionals, and provide mentorship and professional development opportunities. You will develop enhanced alumni connection strategies with events, mentorship programs, giving opportunities, and more. Additionally, you will partner with SCAD leaders and colleagues to pinpoint opportunities for professional growth and special projects.

In this role, you will immerse yourself in the alumni community and collaborate with institutional effectiveness to assess program success. You will develop action plans that consider SCAD’s alumni audience of more than 50,000 professionals and a global perspective, connecting alumni to various university departments based on their needs. You will build strong relationships with alumni to foster a sense of pride and connection to SCAD. You will also work with alumni to identify and support professional development opportunities. By creating and implementing engaging, results-oriented programs that align with the broader SCAD mission, you will enhance the overall alumni experience.

Minimum Qualifications:      

  • Bachelor's degree or other advanced degree
  • Professional experience, including team and project management
  • Proven track record of fostering a positive and productive work environment

Preferred Qualifications:      

  • Professional experience with creative industries
  • Knowledge of SCAD and its mission, values, and community
  • SCAD Alumni

Travel Required:  

  •  10–20%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
