SCAD Savannah seeks a motivated shop monitor for Adler Hall, who will use stop-motion prowess to guide students, staff, and faculty through the safe and proper use of equipment as they finish each new project with stellar results.
In this part-time role, you will act both a mentor and assistant for patrons of the Adler Hall shop. You will ensure a safe work environment; oversee the care of machines, tools, and equipment; and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop. You will also observe and guide patrons, including students, to ensure adherence to university policies and safe-work practices, among other duties.
Minimum Qualifications: Ability to work with shop tools and machines such as a band saw, miter saw, drill press, vacuum form, pressure pot, and other hand tools • AutoCad, Revit, and Rhino, and/or similar software and basic computer knowledge. We will train the new employee. • Background in stop motion animation or experience in a similar field.

Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid driver's license
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
