12 Month Hourly Staff FT

As a full-time student account specialist, you will post and reconcile all received payments, post enrollment fees and housing deposit payments; and monitor unclaimed funds, credit balances, and uncashed check reports in compliance with federal regulations on FSA credit balances. You will manage returned and undeliverable mail (e.g., refund checks, billing statements, and tax documents), process student account refunds, and administer student accounts for students participating in special programs like study abroad and Rising Star. Among other duties, you will also enter Title IV authorization forms into Banner, service guests at the front desk, and act as a liaison to SCAD departments.



The successful candidate has exceptional customer service skills, as well as a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Advanced critical thinking and interpersonal communication abilities are essential, as is a commitment to student-focused support. The candidate should also demonstrate strong mathematical and accounting skills.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree is required.

Cashiering, customer service, Banner, mathematical/accounting capability, written and verbal communication skills, critical-thinking skills, and an attention to detail required. Financial aid experience would be an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Banner, TouchNet, Microsoft office, accounts receivable, financial aid, and cashiering.

Certificates, licenses and registrations:

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
