Student Success Advisers serve as the primary contact for all undergraduate students in order to assist them in successfully completing an educational program at Savannah College of Art and Design. Success advisers retain students by providing proactive student outreach and delivering services and programming specifically designed to support the SCAD mission and value statements. Success advisers deliver a student-centered, high quality educational experience by building relationships early with students and providing programming and coordination with a variety of campus services resulting in positive experiences.

Success advisers begin working with a caseload of students assigned by major prior to matriculation through orientation activities and then build relationships at the point of matriculation though the first year experience course convened by success advisers. Success advisers continue to monitor the student progress of their caseloads through ongoing student contact and early alert programming until graduation.
