As a student success coordinator, you will work closely with the office of the dean of students, student success initiatives, student involvement, and residence life and housing. For the office of the dean of students, you will assist with monitoring the departmental email, serve as a liaison for the dean of student success to SCAD leadership through key student success reports, and will coordinate meetings and events. You will help manage daily situations involving students, faculty, and staff, as well make decisions as authorized by the dean. You will schedule critical meetings between the dean and the greater SCAD community, including visitors, and will also manage communication to faculty following students’ medical emergencies that result in missed classes. Among other office of the dean of students responsibilities, you will assist with managing the reception area for the Student Success Center and conduct research on background information to prepare for meetings involving the dean.

For student success initiatives and student involvement, you will assist in the coordination of central logistics needs, manage e-commerce submissions, and support various student success departments as needed – including participating in SCAD events (e.g., orientation, recruitment, festivals, etc.) and nurturing relationships with SCAD guests. You will manage club processes, policies, and programs (e.g., registration, space reservation, budget allocations); oversee all Interclub Council processes, and conduct assessments related to student involvement. You will also meet with student club leaders to resolve inquiries and ensure compliance with SCAD safety policies. For residence life and housing, you will oversee daily operations as they relate to room changes and cancellation requests once quarters are in session. You will assist with housing assignments, responding to student and family concerns, and submitting work orders from residents, among other duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Advanced customer service, communication, presentation, organizational, and project-management skills
  • At least two years of student activities experience in a college or university setting, including work with diverse populations
  • Knowledge of information management systems and web-based technology

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
