As the coordinator you will provide necessary executive-level support to assist in facilitating the operations of the offices and manage daily situations involving students, making decisions as authorized by the executive director (ED). Regarding students’ medical or personal emergencies that result in missing classes, you must communicate to campus partners. Other responsibilities include managing the executive director’s calendar, providing them with background information for meetings, overseeing the counseling@scad.edu and disability@scad.edu emails, liaising with the ED and campus leadership, and providing BANNER information for student and parent contacts.

In the role of coordinator, you will provide scheduling for student and parent contacts, process purchase requestions and approvals, and maintain the budget for the ED and subordinate offices. Additionally, you must provide support at SCAD events related to orientation and recruitment, university sponsored festivals, and special events, and will assist with the planning of departmental meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have strong written and verbal skills
  • Must have a very high level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Travel required:

  • Less than 10%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
