SCAD Savannah seeks an experienced systems analyst to provide application software support in a Unix/Oracle environment.
Position Summary: In this full-time position, you will be responsible for providing IT applications support required by different functional areas of the college, formulating, and defining scope and requirements for software and providing detailed analyses and documentation for projects. You will research and plan integration strategies between applications, programming, and testing; assist and supervise the implementation and integration of software packages, and provide support for developers during the implementation of projects.
The successful candidate is self-motivated and proficient with Oracle, MS SQL Server, Structured Query Language (SQL), and relational database theory. Stellar interpersonal and communication skills are a must, as are strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. The candidate should demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and excel at developing positive, collaborative relationships with users. Time management skills and the ability work on multiple projects concurrently are essential.

Responsible for providing IT applications support required by different functional areas of the college, formulating and defining scope and requirements for software, providing detailed analysis and documentation for projects, researching and planning integration strategies between applications, programming and testing, assisting and supervising implementation and integration of software packages, and providing support for developers during the implementation of projects.
Candidates must be proficient with Oracle, MS SQL Server, Structured Query Language (SQL), and relational database theory. Highly desirable is experience with any of the following: Linux, Banner or other enterprise software packages (PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.), Java, C/C++, PL/SQL, and ColdFusion.
Three to five year’s experience in a similar position is required as is a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications: A master’s degree is preferred.
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
