As the talent partner, you will be responsible for collaborating with academic leadership, other members of the university’s hiring committee, and human resources to determine faculty needs. In this position you will search for strategic and creative solutions for sourcing top talent, including direct sourcing and networking. As the partner it is your responsibility to develop and maintain contacts and to participate in events for recruitment purposes while determining appropriate venues for advertising open positions. This role involves writing/editing recruitment ads, managing applicants and postings in PageUp, screening and forwarding incoming resumes, and making interview requests for candidates to the hiring committee.

In the position of talent partner, you will work with candidates, academic services staff, and HR staff to coordinate on campus visits; facilitate and participate in interviews; work with the credentials coordinator to ensure credentials are viable; and evaluate candidates to make the best selection. Responsibilities include preparing salary estimates for approval, extending formal offers of employment, completing reference checks, maintaining applicant files for reference, and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:     

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least two years of experience in human resources or higher education
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:

  • Valid driver’s license

Travel Required:

  • 10% to 20%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
