12 Month Hourly Staff FT

The Production Manager is responsible for managing the technical execution of these performances by maintaining the traveling sound system, transporting of the equipment to and from the performances, the set-up and tear-down of the sound system, tuning of the sound system, act as the Audio Lead technician and mix the performance of the singers and band members. The Production Manager will work with the SCAD Theaters & Festivals Team, SCAD Events, SCAD Creative Ideation, other departments at SCAD, and outside rental groups and production companies under the direct supervision, management and guidance of the Director of Production. The Production Manager will be responsible for the supervision and management of graduate level work-study students, who will help assist in these operations and works with rental companies to ensure their safe operation within these performances.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required OR comparable work experience
  • Experience in production work for live concert and/or theatrical events
  • Main skill set in audio system operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe and Keynote/PowerPoint
  • Ability to work several evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work up to 4-5 performances a week

Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid Driver's License

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
