Technology Operations Procurement Specialist

As a technology operations procurement specialist, you will coordinate the procurement and distribution of new technology equipment and supplies (including cellphones, computers, servers, and misc. hardware), manage the issuance and retrieval of technology assets assigned to staff and faculty, and ensure a complete and accurate asset inventory across the university. Among other duties, you will also assist leadership with obtaining quotes, purchasing and tracking technology equipment needed for incoming acquisitions or procurement cycles, and ensuring equipment requests are documented, assigned, and completed thoroughly and in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate has a broad understanding of procurement best practices and procedures within information technology, while demonstrating strong communication and administrative capabilities and excellent customer service. Competency in the time management of multiple competing priorities while working successfully with employees, customers, and third-party relationships is a must.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with asset management software platforms

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:

  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with procurement and eCommerce platforms

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.

Travel required: Less than 10%
