As a campus safety and security operations center specialist, you will utilize various campus-safety software applications and closed-circuit television systems to proactively detect and deter criminal activity (e.g., monitor intrusion alarms, retrieve camera footage, manage campus transportation requests, etc.). Using basic crime-analysis software to assess situations as they arise, you will direct and dispatch campus safety patrol officers to areas of concern and calls for service. When necessary, you will also testify in criminal proceedings.
Preferred Qualifications: - 1-2 years’ experience in a public safety or military command or dispatch center
Certificates, licenses and registrations: Driver’s license
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
