SCAD Atlanta seeks an experienced videographer to be responsible for shooting and maintaining video, lighting, and audio equipment, and naming and transferring media for the executive media team.

In this full-time role, you will work in both field and in-studio productions as an individual contributor and as part of a team. You will coordinate with the executive media team to ensure a consistent creative execution, adhere to a production schedule, and perform scheduled maintenance on all production equipment. You will conduct research for all assignments as appropriate and provide participants with needed information and on-screen coaching as necessary. You will identify set locations, work with editors through the film's final form, and prepare a strategy for production support materials (e.g., lighting, film stock, shot selection, camera operation, etc.). Among other duties, you will also generate ideas for productions, develop new formats and shooting styles, and understand the story and narrative style of each project to deliver the highest quality product for projects that communicate the university president's brand, intentions, and stories in film.

The successful candidate has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and approaches each project with professionalism, enthusiasm, and creativity. The candidate should be organized and have the flexibility to meet changing deadlines and priorities while achieving the highest standards of composition. Experience with strategically creating elevated imagery that tells a story is a must, as is the ability to maintain confidentiality when recording high-profile visiting artists, students, staff, and faculty. Strong working knowledge of the latest shooting styles, techniques, and equipment is essential. The candidate should also be proactive, continually researching, seeking out inspiration, and providing recommendations on how to keep video content at the level of quality expected from a leader in the art and design community.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
• Minimum of five years of experience in lighting and shooting video, organizing large multi-camera studio and field productions, and recording high quality audio
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally with limited notice as needed
• Ability to work outside office hours, including weekends and holidays
