Professor of Animation
The SCAD animation program is grounded in the philosophy of storytelling through character performance and, as a professor, you will directly influence the next generation of animators based on your unique perspective, cultural background, and professional experiences in animation. In addition to other duties and responsibilities required in the faculty handbook and the employment agreement, a professor teaches courses, as determined by contact hours, and in accordance with their credentials, university needs and a signed employment agreement.

Professor of Digital Communication
As a SCAD professor, you will be required to meet expectations of planning and preparing for teaching, as well as maintaining an active and engaged classroom environment. You will be responsible for syllabus design, submission, and approval; holding office hours and midterm grade reviews; providing extra-help sessions, extended-learning opportunities, and field trips; and conducting course/program level assessments.

Professor of Illustration
This position entails modeling professionalism, fulfilling grading and academic documentation requirements, recording attendance, following academic policies and regulations, and supporting academic assessment and institutional effectiveness efforts. Other responsibilities include attending on-ground and virtual events, such as faculty meetings and admission events; curriculum assessment and development; institutional effectiveness and accreditation support; and any other events, exhibitions, or publicity assignments.

Professor of Graphic Design
The successful candidate can skillfully articulate a vision of graphic design education in the 21st century that aligns with the department’s mission to produce preeminent visual communicators who connect research, social responsibility, and pragmatism to deliver spectacular content. The candidate should be comfortable teaching in cross-disciplinary teams focused on experiential projects and possess the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in typography, print, and interactive design.
